It was alright but I was super disappointed in where they seated us. I took my Grandma for the Afternoon Nutcracker Tea and we arrived about half an hour early. The host at first seemed accomodating but then they led us to a weird hallway-like room that was segregated from the rest of the restaurant. We were the only ones seated their until near the end of our tea when one other table was filled. We were wondering why there seemed to be no one their for the tea but when we came out the entire rest of the restaurant was lively and full of people. The tea and pastries were absolutely delicious and our waitress was lovely, not stuck up like some of them tend to be at places like this. The point of paying more is to get a better experience than you would elsewhere and they did not deliver in that aspect. I expected to be a part of the atmosphere. I was hoping to create a yearly tradition and to bring my other English family members here but I would never go back here. Especially after reading the many other reviews of the poor quality of the dinner food they serve. My search for the best tea place continues!

Service was great but layout of restaurant poor. We were seated in what is basically a hallway away from the lounge and the live music. When you get the sense that ambiance is included in the price of the food, you expect better than a section that seemed to have been built simply to cram more people into the restaurant. The lamb came with an espresso sauce. Instead of tasting bitter, it tasted like a mix of salt and soy sauce held together by cornstarch.

We had a lovely dinner here. The food was great, the pasta was delicious and a large portion. The service was prompt, friendly and correct! The atmosphere was our favorite aspect...feels like a 1930 jazz restaurant. More of a upscale restaurant catered towards older adults: just lovely!

Quick afternoon bite - great service, very comfortable - cozy seat in front of the fireplace. It’s a very sophisticated environment. Enjoyed the salmon and crab cake salad.

Truly excellence in service and very attentive, unfortunately not matched by the food. Baseline and basic ingredients lack lustre and plain, presentation visually good though. The veal and the beef tenderloin should have had great flavour with spicing as mere accompaniment, unfortunately spicing was the only somewhat pleasant element with the underlying meats merely low grade grocery store items. Even the desert carrot cake icing has a waxy finish. I cannot highlight enough the great service from entrance to exit. Go for service and decent ambiance, skip the food, especially @$200 for 2.
