e it looked suspect to him. " are you for real man?" I asked "it would cost me at least 6 bux to counterfeit a five dollar bill" he claimed that he has seen a few go in and out of his store lately. This is when he told me to leave his store and he was going to post a security photo of me so he can call the cops if he e saw me in the shop again . "Wow"is all I could muster up to say.I left the bookstore and took a few shots of his shop and fiver for good measure. I brought the bill next door to it for a comparison. they sent me to the check cashing place half a block away and they told me it was in fact a good 1...I thought about going back there to rub it in his face but choose not to instead. It's a wonder 2 me how you could be surrounded by so many books and still be a total f@$king idiot . (If my photo goes up in there I'll launch a defamation and discrimination law suit against this twerp)

My first and last experience behind the facade of this innocent looking book store goes as follows: As I was heading to my favorite skateboard spot this early afternoon I realized that I didn't have sufficient change for the bus. No big deal, I rummage through my jacket pockets and find a five dollar bill. "Jackpot!" I exclaimed to myself...."Now where to find some change???" That's when I noticed the bookshop and decided to go inside and see if the clerk would break my fiver. Upon entering the shop I notice a pile of records with a Suze Quatro record sitting on top of the pile. I make a comment about how it was a good sign to spot a Quatro record walking in the door of a used book shop...this guy, unbeknownst to me, This was not a Suze Quatro fan what so ever... I asked him if he could break a five and he replied no. A little puzzled by his response I crane my head about looking fo the bargain bin full of trashy novels. (Every used book store has at least 1 of these) paydirt! I find a box with the words "one dollar" written on the side. I grab the first book I see that isn't a harloquin rommance....a book of poetry." Exercise the old brain a bit" I told myself. "Get me a little culture and some bus change at the same time..." I handed him the 5 and he rummaged through the pocket of his slacks for a couple of seconds and then handed the bill back to me aND said he wasn't going to accept the money because

A good selection of hard to find older fiction. Seemed like lots of nonfiction too, but I didn't browse those shelves. I was expecting a cigarette smell but didn't notice one, just the smell of older books. Man working there said he smoked, but not in the shop.

If you are only interested in the quality of the books, I still do not recommend it. It is disorganized, it has a strong odour and most of the books are in such bad condition that they are falling apart.

Going to this store is unethical and a waste of time.

I am a young woman and I felt extremely objectified and uncomfortable in this store. Who ever was working there at that time had very unprofessional behaviour, and the way he acted makes my skin crawl. I have never felt so at unease in a bookstore before, and I do not recommend it if you are also a teenager/ young woman.
