    I am no marketing major, but it seems to me that if a customer is willing to offer some insight into their experience in your store, there is wisdom in listening. Fool I was. I walked back into CB2 and was greeted by the host. I explained that our experience was quite lacking. Our bill tells us that our cashier was Miranda. As I spoke with the hostess, our cashier wanted in on the conversation. The cashier was confrontational in an argumentative, very immature way. I didn’t care enough to go any further.

    Great style. Modern home decor. Be prepared to wait for your products. Nothing ever in stock. Need to increase local inventory. Vancouverites are forward thinking interior designers ready to spend money - we demand more items to be readily available - please plan accordingly.

    So poor that after making my purchase and stepping out of the store, I decided to go back in and discuss it. We were ignored at the sales counter when we went to make our purchase Finally, the three people doing nothing behind the counter called over someone to ring us up. Not a smile, not a hello, not a thank you.

    Even with these bad experiences, I love the products at CB2 because they are stylish and fairly priced. I'm hoping one day I'll have better experiences at the store.

    In addition, some of the staff don't seem to have a proper knowledge of their products. It's crazy!? For example, today I asked for down-alternative pillow inserts and was handed two inserts that said "feather down" on them. I asked the guy "are you sure these are down-alternative" and he looked at me like I was stupid. Of course it's only after I get home to compare my purchase to the inserts that I already own that I realize I was in fact NOT CRAZY and the guy had sold me the wrong item. Always check your receipt because my receipt even says "down-alternative" on them when the items I was given are not.

    When alerting CB2 of these issues, they were quick to respond and apologised for the damaged caused. They were understanding of my disappointment in their "white glove" service and recompensed me.

    Great store, nice selection and good quality items at a fair price. My wife and i have purchased a number of items from cb2 and never had a bad experience with their customer service. I wouldn't say we've had a GREAT experience, but it was always fairly good. Their in-stock inventory is lacking, so we usually only go to the store to check out the items before ordering. The store is really more of a showroom, but they offer free in-store delivery for the items you see on the web, so it works out well.

    I have shopped at CB2 many times but I don't feel like the employees go out of their way to deliver exceptional costumer service. Even though I shop from there at least once a month I don't have a regular salesperson that I go to because none of them make an effort to build any rapport. I even tried to shop from just one woman who I thought was nice but she unfortunately never seems to recognize me (despite having shopped from her multiple times and asking for her by name).

    The delivery service is what CB2 calls "white glove." The delivery people place the furniture in the room of your choice, assembles it and then takes away all the packaging. The reality did not live up to this expectation. The two men seemed in such a rush to get things done that they hurriedly, and without care, scuffed up my newly painted ceiling with the long packages that they hauled without the other's help. No consideration was made to ask if it was ok to walk into my home in their work boots. They were not rude people, just poorly trained in the basics of customer care.

    My review is based on 3 parts of the purchasing process. Firstly, I've been to this store three times. On the first two visits, most of the sales reps were busy fluffing pillows and readjusting display items; they didn't pay too much attention to me, not even a customary: can I help you find something? When I did finally decide to buy, the sales rep who put through my order was attentive and thorough. She was able to answer all my questions about warranty, product care and delivery.

    The only thing she said during the whole exchange was, “Printed or emailed receipt?” We asked for printed, and despite my husband’s outstretched hand to receive the receipt, she disdainfully threw it on the counter and wandered off.
