  Good, honest, responsible dry cleaning services do exist in the industry. Shirtland isn't one of them.

  Discovered that these services are in fact contracted out to a third-party company who (according to Shirtland's manager) has the ability and will to refuse pickup and/or delivery services at their sole discretion. This has resulted in several failed delivery attempts (third party refusing to do work at all), and the inability to properly schedule pick-ups due to "timing and other challenges" with downtown offices (despite their published office pickup and delivery advertisement online: https://www.shirtland.ca/delivery.php). Deliveries and Pickups are also limited to Tuesdays and Fridays only, which greatly limited the flexibility for my needs (and presumably other clients' needs as well).

  On numerous occasions, after Shirtland has received items dropped-off for cleaning, I was not properly followed-up with nor communicated to. This was especially frustrating when there was no warning of significant up-charges contrary to the posted rate sheet online (https://www.shirtland.ca/pdf/shirtlandprice.pdf).

  In addition, the location is often understaffed at peak times, and in many cases the staff members are unable to perform their work/answer questions without the control/watch/presence/input of the manager. On many occasions, I was placed on hold for a significant amount of time for a simple status update.

  Excellent, friendly, professional service. Cleaning and alterations always done to perfection. I have been going here for years and will continue. Convenient location with parking right in front is a bonus.

  After a generous amount of forgiveness and willingness to continue business, and following promises from the manager to "make it right", Shirtland has failed to meet my expectations. I have since switched to another vendor and am glad to report that my basic expectations are being met from order #1.

  Staff willingly charge exorbitant fees to the credit card on file, and the manager relentlessly justifies/defends the fees and their staff's work after the fact when the bill is received and questioned. On other occasions, I was not followed-up with at all, and did not find out about the status of an order until I noticed a charge on my credit card (to which I often left voicemail messages and sent emails that were never responded to), and until I was able to finally reach a staff member by phone to inquire about my order.
