Great park for good views of downtown. It is only a short walk from granville island or from Olympic village. There is playground and tennis courts if you like that sort of thing.

My dog loves this off leash park but be warned it’s a great place to swim and get muddy. The area is fenced off but dogs can easily slip out into the larger park area.

It's a dog owner's paradise - there's a big off-leash area, with plenty of space for dogs to run and play. There's also a small waterfall feeding a pool, which is very popular with pets and owners alike, especially in Summer.

Fantastic park - secluded from traffic. Great for dog walking.

Peaceful pathways wind through lush plantings and around a waterfall and pond, opening to striking views of the downtown shoreline. Whether passing through on the seawall or staying awhile to enjoy the park, Charleson is sure to make your day a bit more relaxing.

Note: The tennis courts are outside the park on the rooftop at 600 Moberly Road.

This is truly one of those secret gems in the middle or Vancouver. I've been in this city for over 22 years and I only just discovered Charleston Park in the fall of 2017, even tho I have literally driven right by it thousands of not tens of thousands or times in the past 22 years. Located on a section of the Seawall between Granville and Cambie Streets, it's a part of the Seawall that doesn't get as much foot traffic as others areas, so unless you know it's there, this park goes relatively unnoticed. Complete with rolling hills; grassy knoll, open meadows, tranquil picnic spots, a cedar and pine forest (you really don't expect to see a rugged wilderness forecast in this part of the city); a small lake; a creek and a grotto cave and waterfall; off-leash dog park; wilderness trails; biking and rollerblade trails; flower gardens; community garden plots; an elementary school; and just gorgeous sweeping views of a False Creek and the Downtown Cityscape PLUS just steps to Granville Island, Olympic Village, and shopping! Who could ask for anything more?!? I highly recommend taking a stroll along there one afternoon. You will be pleasantly surprised, and a little amazed at what you find!
