In Granville Island, you should check out Sutcliffe Park. It's a wonderful place to enjoy False Creek all year round. Since it's located at the Creek, you don't have to worry too much about extreme weather such as wind. I find the seawall at Sutcliffe Park a lot calmer and less busy than the seawall at Stanley Park too. There are fewer tourists that use Sutcliffe Park which make it less busy.

Tucked between Granville Island and the seawall, Sutcliffe Park offers many pleasant places to sit and enjoy the views of False Creek. Bright flowers line the pathways, and children are delighted by the spraypark in warm weather. This park was named in the mid 1970s for Doug Sutcliffe who served as the City's Project Manager for development of the South False Creek project.
